In conversation with Francesca Grilli
Francesca Grilli wavers between video art, performances, installations and theatre. For her new piece Sparks, an adaptation of a 2018 performance-installation, children read the palms of adults, though embracing the social distance imposed upon us by the decree of 2020. Without touch or physical contact, the children interpret the future of the adult participants, thereby installing a reversal of power. To whom belongs the future?
Interviewed by Bas Blaasse and Olaf Winkler.
This talk is part of our series of Level Five artists being interviewed by Level Five artists – approaching our Open Studios on 6 and 7 Nov 2020.
