Deborah Ruffato

Brussels based artist, I studied filmmaking at Institut des Arts de Diffusion from 2011 untill 2016. Since then I’ve been attracted by a hybrid and experimental cinema, creating encounters between forms.

I’m interested with the process of disenchantment/enchantment of our western societies through our relation to shadow/darkness. I’m questioning how these process actually alter the way we perceive our environment, and what we call in(visible). In my recent works, I focused on what it creates when something is ending. My films and and their stories are spaces to welcome the affects, memories and embodiments that emerged from this relation.
