Delphine Deguislage
I'm a visual artist, feminist and educator living in Brussels.
My practice is multifaceted and moves from printed images to sculpture while making use of stereotypical craft techniques such as sewing. This translates into site-specific installations.
I question representations of bodies, power structures and privileges in relation to affect, memories and personal experiences. By questioning the production of visuals, I intend to put the dominant discourse in question. My work is thus traversed by a fragmentation of signs and patterns, the use of language and text, as well as images from various origins. Their combination offers a plural and ambiguous reading of the representations.
